The Scholarship Member Community is happy to offer and present the Doctoral Consortium again this year at the 2025 ILA Global Conference. This program has been offered for 5+ years at the global conference, and occasionally online mid-year.

Dr. Priscilla Hammond is Dean of the Benson School of Business at Southern Wesleyan University. She teaches and writes about leadership while she practices it in the halls of academe, non-profit boards, and the church. She has been called the Dissertation Whisperer—mentoring dissertation students from idea conception to defense delivery.

Dr. Corey Seemiller currently serves as a faculty member in the Department of Leadership Studies in Education and Organizations at Wright State University, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses along with serving on and chairing doctoral dissertation committees. Dr. Seemiller is the author of The Student Leadership Competencies Guidebook, Generations in the World of Work, Gen Z Around the World, Generation Z: A Century in the MakingGeneration Z Goes to CollegeGeneration Z Leads, and Generation Z Learns and has a robust record of other publications in leadership, learning, and generational research.

Dr. Kathy L. Guthrie is professor in the higher education program at Florida State University. She serves as director of the Leadership Learning Research Center and coordinator of the Undergraduate Certificate in Leadership Studies. Kathy has served on over 100 dissertation committees, published over 125 articles, books, and chapters, and currently serves as editor for the New Directions in Student Leadership journal.

Dr. L. J. McElravy is an Associate Professor of Leadership at the University of Nebraska—Lincoln. He served as the Associate Dean for Professional Development in the Office of Graduate Studies from 2019 to 2023. L. J. has also served as the department’s graduate program coordinator for the Leadership Education Master’s and Leadership Studies Doctorate degrees. L. J.’s research focuses on leadership education and leadership development from adolescence through adulthood. His graduate students have gone on to serve in faculty roles and in professional roles outside of academia.
