TTC (Toronto Transit Commission)
Toronto’s public transit system — buses, subways, and streetcars — is easy to use and well-connected. Simply tap your credit or debit card to pay; no special pass or app is needed.
Once you tap in, you have two hours of unlimited travel in any direction across the TTC network, including transfers between subways, streetcars, and buses. As long as you’re within that two-hour window, tapping again won’t trigger an additional charge. Note that each person must use their own card — cards cannot be shared between passengers.

The PATH Toronto’s underground pedestrian network stretches more than 30 kilometers beneath downtown, connecting shops, restaurants, and services — and is said to be the largest underground shopping complex in the world. It’s a great option in cold or rainy weather. The PATH connects directly to several subway stations, and its southernmost point (RBC Waterpark Place) is just across the street from the Westin Harbour Castle, making it an easy walk to Union Station and the subway.
Our Conference Model
Our conference operates on a community model where all participants—whether presenting or attending—register (at the published rates) for the event. As a nonprofit membership organization, this approach allows us to keep costs reasonable while creating a space where everyone contributes to and benefits from our collective knowledge. We don’t offer speaker fees or complimentary registrations because we see presentations as part of the collaborative exchange that makes our community valuable. All concurrent session presenters also participate in the broader conversation, learning from colleagues and connecting with peers. This model helps us sustain our programs while reinforcing that we’re all here together, sharing our work and growing as a community.
