This half-day summit is designed as a gathering for healthcare professionals and leadership experts, building on the previous three Healthcare Leadership Conferences, with the theme of “Strengthening Ties Between Healthcare and Leadership.” The session aims to convene a diverse group of participants, including healthcare leaders, students, patients, practitioners, educators, and leadership experts, to delve into foundational and innovative topics vital for enhancing leader development, leadership education, research, and practice within the healthcare realm.  

This half-day summit offers a unique platform for blending the worlds of healthcare and leadership, aimed at enriching both fields through shared learning and collaboration. Participants will leave equipped with new insights, strategies, and connections to navigate the complex landscape of healthcare leadership today and into the future. 

Goals of the Session:  

  1. Foster Networking and Collaboration: Create opportunities for meaningful interactions among participants to enhance interdisciplinary understanding and collaboration. 
  2. Knowledge Exchange: Share cutting-edge insights and best practices in leadership that can be applied within the healthcare setting to address current challenges and anticipate future needs.

Wayne Buckhanan

Wayne Buckhanan, PhD has spent his career utilizing technology and language to positively influence behaviorA large chunk of this has been in the education and skill development fronts training professionals in the content and application of effective models across areas such as inter- and intra-personal communication, developmental coaching, skill development, human motivation, sales, leadership, and the explicit modeling of implicit expertise.  He also spent 20 years in higher education teaching technical topics as well as innovation, critical thinking, and leadership skills across multiple institutions and programs. Since stepping out of the classroom in 2021, he has been consulting and coaching start-up teams across industries as varied as blockchain-based virtual real estate, generative AI, social entrepreneurship, and global consulting.
