Whether you’ve practiced mindful reflection for years or just want to see what it’s about and how it can help you to integrate your conference experience and make it more meaningful, you’re invited to join us for a guided reflection that will move through a process of grounding and reconnecting with yourself. Once grounded and reconnected, we’ll reflect together to distill sparks of insight about our expectations for the conference.

Erin Dixon (Gizhagatte)

Erin Dixon (Gizhagatte) is woven through Reconciliation Canada as Director of Knowledge and Indigenous Leadership in fields of planetary transformation. She is lead faculty for Indigenous Leadership at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity and is committed to life promotion in suicide prevention.

Kathryn Goldman Schuyler

Kathryn Goldman Schuyler studies with masterful teachers of consciousness including the Dalai Lama, Mingyur Rinpoche, and Roshi Joan Halifax. Her research focuses on bringing moments of mindfulness and joy to work. An Emeritus Professor of Organization Development and Leadership, she guides meditation sessions, teaches Awareness Through Movement, and is a former ILA Global Conference Chair.

Les Sylven is a Leadership Studies PhD candidate in the Faculty of Education at the University of Victoria. His research explores police leadership with senior Canadian police officers who regularly practice meditation and mindfulness. Les was a police officer in Canada for over 30 years and in 2020 was awarded the title of Officer of the Order of Merit (O.O.M) of the Police Forces by the Governor General of Canada. 

Ame-Lia Tamburrini

Ame-Lia Tamburrini is a diversity and inclusion leadership coach, speaker and master facilitator. As the CEO of Hum Consulting, she brings engaging talks, workshops and retreats to organizations and communities around the world to shake up entrenched systems and bring trauma to the light to be transmuted into connection, compassion and collaboration.

Lemuel W. Watson

Lemuel W. Watson serves on the core faculty at the Antioch Graduate School of Leadership and Change. Lemuel has certification as a Mindfulness Teacher from Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute (SIYLI), and is also a poet, coach, and minister. He has consulted around the world on public policy and talent management.
